Meet Nicole Comito

Nicole Comito is a woodworker and creative designer with a  sensitive approach to design. She has a deep appreciation for the process of working with wood, and respects the natural beauty of trees and the infinite variety of forms they can take. She honed her craft as a self taught woodworker, as well as apprenticing under her father, Peter Comito.

Nicole was born and raised in Brooklyn, and began to follow in the footsteps of her father and grandfather after graduating from Long Island University Post with a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. Today, she uses her design skills and passion for woodworking to design and build custom wood + resin art.

When Nicole is not wood working, you can usually find her upside down, training her handstands and tumbling skills.  Before Nicole began to follow her passion for woodworking, she was a certified competitive gymnastics coach, as well as a certified competitive cheerleading coach.  In her younger years, she competed nationwide for multiple cheerleading teams and dance teams.

Nicole’s hope is that through woodworking, she can leave something behind that can be cherished for years to come.
